The Libby Band Story
“It’s not just a multi-way fleece-warmer – it’s a machine-washable weather-tamer!”
“As with all of history’s best inventions, Libby Band came out of a simple idea, based on my often-chilly experiences as a hopelessly-hooked golfer.
I started playing in 1998 and fell in love with the combination of skill, accuracy, fitness and friendship that golf offers. It wasn’t long before I was taking part in competitions, out in all weathers and for hours on end.
The one thing that got me down was when the weather was bad. I’ve always suffered with chronic earaches and stiff necks, but found the conventional solutions of chunky knitwear, scarves and restrictive, itchy bobble hats inconvenient and awkward.
If you’re like me, if you do happen to nip in the clubhouse afterwards for a drink (celebratory or otherwise) you want to feel confident about your appearance.
But as you know, this can be pretty difficult when it’s been blowing a gale and you look as though you’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards.
So I decided to devise a solution that would protect me against the biting cold, while allowing me to keep my hair under control – and all while looking presentable and fashion-conscious on the fairway.
After a few test runs, Libby Band was born – much to the delight of several of my golfing buddies, who proceeded to steal one each time I created another in a new pattern.
The concept of Libby Band is astonishingly simple, yet so effective against a problem which sees too many lady golfers tone down their autumn and winter play-time.
I hope you find Libby Band as indispensable – and stylish – as I have.
Here’s to a cosy eighteen holes – whatever the weather!”
